Beginner's Rock Climbing Course
(Level 1)
You're in the right place to start rock climbing. Turkey's favourable climate, solid rock structure, and carefully designed routes are ideal for starting climbing safely and enjoyably.
Our sport climbing training consists of two stages. The first stage is a 3-day beginner level course. During this training, we cover the following topics:
-
Choosing the right equipment for rock climbing
-
The correct and safe use of equipment
-
Use of fixed safety points on the rock
-
Basic safety checks (to a level where you can perform your own checks in different areas)
-
Moving in natural conditions and adapting to the environment
-
Climbing ethics and area usage
-
Partner safety (belaying)
-
Effective use of holds and footholds on the rock
Throughout the training, our experienced instructors will answer all your questions and provide support according to your individual needs.
At the end of these three days, you will have learned the basic technical knowledge, practiced extensively, and reached a level where you can climb safely using a top-rope system. You will also learn how to safely belay a climber.
When taking your first steps in rock climbing, the most important thing is to start in an environment where you feel safe and learn the right fundamentals. This course is designed for participants who have never climbed before or have very little experience, ensuring you progress safely and in a controlled manner in the open terrain.
Training is conducted in small groups and progresses according to each participant's level. Our goal is not to do a lot in a short time, but to ensure you make a solid start by acquiring the right habits. This way, after the course, you will have the knowledge and confidence to climb safely in different areas.
Geyikbayırı's world-renowned rock quality and year-round favorable climate make the learning process both productive and enjoyable. With experienced instructors, we offer a calm and focused learning environment in the heart of nature.
Why This Course?

This course is suitable for those who have never rock climbed before or have very little experience. Anyone who wants to learn climbing safely in the open air and acquire the correct techniques with the right habits from the start can participate.
It is also a good start for participants who have only done indoor climbing before but have no experience on real rock. Physical performance is less important than a willingness to learn and a commitment to safe climbing.
During the course, progress is tailored to each participant's level, and individual feedback is provided.
Who is this Course Suitable For?
This course is not suitable for those who are already lead climbing and seeking advanced technical training. For participants at this level, our advanced courses would be a more appropriate choice.
Furthermore, this training is not suitable for individuals who do not wish to be in open terrain or who have difficulty adhering to basic safety rules.
If you are unsure which course is more suitable for you, please contact us before registering so we can help you determine the best option together.
